Sorry, this is a long overdue review. Lonnie came out quickly, treated the entire yard for black widows and his prices can't be beat. He even gave us some consultation on another beastie that we were seeing and saved us some $$. Would definitely use him again kvart.txt 49286.

Lonnie is great. He's come to my house a couple times now to kill all the little roaches that come out after the last couple years' deluges. (Also the black widows - ick!) He's super friendly and does a great job. He comes out quickly too; no waiting around for a call. I have pets, so that's always a concern with pest sprays, but the stuff he uses dries quickly, and my pets are out again in no time. Thanks, Lonnie!
After some home remodel work it was apparent that we had a mouse problem. I called on a Friday and Lonnie came out on Saturday morning. He was very helpful and explained in detail what he was doing and how it would work. He took the time to answer the questions I had about the products he was using and the impact to wildlife, our pets and kids. The reasonable pricing was the icing on the cake.
Good communication. Easy to reach, and schedule. Price is competitive. Lonnie is a local business owner who is honest/direct and helpful. My experience is as follows: Due to my busy work schedule it is difficult for me to be home during regular business hours. Lonnie was kind enough to come by (in I forget one or two days after calling) and spray the outside and leave an invoice saving me days of scheduling headaches. A few days after the initial spraying there were still stragglers getting into the house. Now I was hoping to avoid spraying inside the house but I wanted to be sure the bugs were gone so I was seriously contemplating spraying the interior as well despite knowing that in all likelihood it would take at least a week to get the stragglers if it was an outdoor bug problem getting into the house (which I thought was most likely) and not an indoor bug problem. Long story short, Lonnie explained the same pros and cons, for both for myself and from his perspective as a local business owner, offered to come spray the inside in 3 business days, and since I wasn't sure, I elected to wait. It has been almost a week and the die-off continues though to a much less degree, and the bugs after the initial flurry of indoor entry has been tapering off as well. Time will tell but so far as good as can be expected.
This guy is a trip. I call for a quote to have him come out and trap/ kill/ terminate a rat that was seen by my kids outside of our kitchen window behind our small shed and he provides what he considers my only option. He mentions that the trap would have to be placed in an enclosed part of the house (garage) where dogs and cats can't get to it, which I explained that I have none of those at my property-- just rats! Instead of listening to understand my problem, he goes on and on about managing his liability--- which I get. I don't want them to do anything that jeopardizes their business, however I am in the market for hiring an expert to help me rid me of my current rodent problem outside of my house, not in my garage. I'm not interested in doing his job for him as he suggested I do, by taking his poison bait after he places it in my garage and moving it where I think the rat is outdoors. To me, that doesn't sound any different than going and buying poison myself and spreading it around. Why do that? Isn't that what the experts are for? Isn't that why there is a pest control profession? Whether disabled or elderly, or just plain not interested in the means just the end, how can one expect the customer to take part in the work, and saying that is the only alternative? I am interested in being preemptive before I find a rat inside of my home. Unfortunately, even if the way he explained his way to solve my issue is how the process should work, the person I spoke with didn't seem too eager to work with me in resolving this matter. I'm sure there are other reputable pest control services and businesses that will in fact help me with my issues without such drawbacks. Beware, despite the many glowing Yelp! reviews and don't bother wasting your time when you absolutely need the job done right the first time. **UPDATE** You no doubt have the right to not do a job, as I have the right to post an honest review for folks to be aware of if they're considering giving you business. It's shady practice to say one thing in your reply to my review, and then private message me to take the review down because you think I'm hurting your business. My intent is not to cause harm, but to help prevent further harm to potential customers. I'm not upset, as there's no skin off my back if someone chooses to give you their business. I really hope others have a better experience with your company, but in all fairness, prospective customers should know about this interaction. And yes, I am a veteran, not that this has anything to do with this service request. I had a bug problem with a few spiders and some dead roaches in the driveway. I called around for a few different pest control places. One never got back to me. Of all the places I called, Lonnie seemed the most knowledgeable and didn't try to upsell me. Lonnie helped me identify the types of pests that I was having issues with. I called him on Tuesday and he made the appointment to come out the next morning. Perfect. So he came out today and did the spraying. I couldn't believe how fast he was able to get it done with his high-pressure hose. It was at least done in a quarter of the time it took to spray with the stuff I bought at Lowes that didn't even work. Our appointment was scheduled at 11. He called a few minutes before the appointment to basically say that he was stuck in traffic and would be a few minutes late. Cool, I understand Sacramento traffic but really appreciate this professionalism. Not many contractors, in my experience, would have done this. I would definitely go back to Lonnie for any future pest control needs.
